I have started taking the kids to live theatre and Hannah saw this advert on the back of the bus a few months ago so we got tickets. The train journey into town was great, fast and the air con was nice and cool. We discovered a great little place to eat lunch, it was Italian and the food was simply delicious.
Aladdin was great, fantastic singing and dancing and the props were great, a short technical issue with the magic carpet but that was only a short delay.
Hannah has gone to spend time with her cousin in Tauranga so some quiet time at home with the boys. Only have plans to go Rainbows End, 1000 doors and a movie (Hannah said she was fine missing out)

summer adventures
Just a few of the photos from recent months as I try and do interesting things with the kids.
There are more but I am too hot to try and find them now.

Hot day
Summer is in full swing and it is HOT so I thought it would be nice to visit a few of the awesome swimming pools in and around Auckland. Last week we had a great afternoon at Point Erin Pools so this week we had a look at Tepid Baths.
It was a really nice swim, the smaller pool (originally the ladies pool) was quite warm so the kids naturally decided that they had to swim in the warm pool. I did get the boys into the larger pool (originally the males pool) but they were a lot happier in the smaller pool due to how deep the other pool was.
I was expecting a salt water pool so I had to lick my hand to confirm if it was salt water and no it isn't.
More swimming adventures to come

Time for a huge catch up
It has been a few years so I thought to update with what has happened and how much life has changed.
We have moved to Massey, we now go to church at Westgate and loving it.
The kids have all started school, Hannah is in her last few years of high school, Dylan is moving up to year 7 so a new school for him and Scott is in year 5 so almost done with primary school.
I'm working now as a Teacher Aide and loving it, the kids are great and the staff are amazing.
I am separated, can get a divorce but would rather spend the money needed on family activities with the kids.
My parents have moved back from Melbourne and are staying with us "until we find somewhere to live" (my mum's words and have been here almost 2 years).
Had some challenges, finding out that Hannah was sexually abused and dealing with all the legal stuff and supporting her was probably the worst.
I will try and update a bit more often, but if I forget that is what happens.
